The SD 073-321(obsolete) with manual primer can also be used for the generator natural gas conversion. The manual primer located on the back cover of our version of thee C-039-122 makes it much easier to start the engine as it primes the carburetor with natural gas. A typical natural gas line pressure is in the range of 10 to 12 inches of water column. The KN fuel controller works great with 11 inches of water column or 6 to 8 ounces per square inch of pressure. This is the most common method of conversion and it is the least expensive and least labor intensive.įor the Natural Gas Conversion we used our own generic version of the Impco Garretson KN, the C-039-122 fuel regulator with manual primer for ease of starting. This kit does not support high pressure propane that comes from a tank(barbecue tank).
